This project has finally begun and the two existing fermenters are have been torn down so that a new C.I.P. 2 cell vault complete with a drywell can be constructed. The drywell will house two new progressing cavity pumps to pump TWAS. All required process piping, valves and appurtenances for the thickened waste activated sludge, process air and foul air extraction will be installed along with all associated electrical, controls and HVAC.
The removal of the existing progressive cavity pump in the Headworks Building and modifications to the DAF (Dissolved Air Floatation) discharge piping will require the rerouting of the primary effluent feed piping along with all new underground piping for the new system flow all while the existing plant is still in operation.
